Bold Adventure with Strong Torque and Six-Speed Control
The Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 (often referred to on the official site as the new Himalayan) is a rugged modern adventure motorcycle designed for varied terrain and long-distance riding. At the heart of the bike is a 452 cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder, DOHC engine that delivers a balanced mix of power and mid-range torque — making it capable on both highways and off-road trails. This engine is paired with a 6-speed manual transmission and features an assist & slipper clutch for smoother shifts and reduced wheel hop under aggressive downshifts. With a peak torque of around 40 Nm @ 5,500 rpm, it provides responsive low- and mid-range grunt ideal for touring and adventure riding.
HEART OF THE MOUNTAIN G.O.A.T
Like the high-altitude Sherpa that inspired it, this engine has the torque to pull you out of a sandy hollow at 5,000 meters above sea level while being able to enjoy the 5 day trip back home afterward.
